HIPS Becomes UK Law For 3 Bedroom Homes

All 3 bedroom properties released onto the housing market from 10th September 2007 will require a Home Information Pack by law or the person marketing the property, or the seller for private selling, will be subject to a £200 fine for every occasion they are caught marketing without a HIP.

All 3 bedroom properties on the housing market before 10th September 2007 are exempt till 1st Jan 2008 provided they have been continuously on the market up to that time. If marketing is stopped for any period after 10th September, even for 1 day, means a Home Information Pack is required.
